Marker-Miller Orchards has kept it all in the family for over 100 years.
John Marker is a 4th generation farmer, but the market was just built 12 years ago. His farm has a lot to offer today.
Marker says, "apples, peaches, pears, plums. About 10 acres of vegetables, pumpkins, you know, whatever we can sell here at the farm market."
One of the most famous items at Marker-Miller is the apple cider donuts.
"We put a kitchen in our first part of our market, and my wife and I baked cakes and pies on the weekend. And I bought a donut machine and that's grown a little bit, so yeah, we have a pretty full bakery now," laughs Marker.
This weekend the Orchard is hosting the Fall Farm Fun Festival because Saturday is the first day of fall.
Marker explains, "we'll have music here that day, that weekend. We'll have, of course we always do on weekends, our cow train and our wagon rides. We'll have vendors. My wife said the other day that she's got quite a few vendors this year. And we'll have a barbecue fellow here along with our food booths, so there'll be a big time for everybody."
The Festival is happening rain or shine. If you can't make it over the weekend, the farm market is open 7 days a week through October.
"It's in production. You can see apple pickers picking. You know, a lot of times men working or tractors going doing different things. But it is a working farm, and it certainly keeps everybody busy," concludes Marker.
