We are learning more information about a standoff in Frederick County that lasted for more than eight hours.

Frederick County Sheriff's Deputies were looking into whether a gun was fired. After further investigation, it was determined that at least one shot was fired.

"Just the preliminary from what we did yesterday with the search warrant. It appears that Mr. Michael did discharge a firearm inside his own home. That's the only one that we know of at this time. We're just preparing our reports to give to the Commonwealth's attorney for review," said Frederick County Sheriff's Office Cpt. John Heflin.

Anthony Michael is being held without bond. He is being charged with one count of assault on a law enforcement officer.
