CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- The full House of Delegates will get a chance to vote on a bill that determines what information women are
given before having an abortion.

The House Judiciary Committee revamped the measure before approving it Wednesday.

The bill would require doctors who determined a fetal ultrasound was medically necessary to ask women if they would like to view the image before following through with an abortion. The new version would require women to sign a form acknowledging they were offered the chance to view the images.

The committee version would eliminate criminal penalties for doctors who violate the Women's Right to Know Act, which requires providers to give certain information to women seeking abortions.

If approved by the House, the bill will go back to the Senate.
