It is almost curtain call on Wayside Theatre's new, although temporary, location.
Saturday marks the official grand opening of the Royal Phoenix theatre site. They will have two previews to their opening season show, "Forever Plaid".
Artistic Director Warren Crocker says converting the building to a theater has been a challenge, but certainly a worthwhile one.
"This has been a tremendous challenge, I mean, putting up a show is a tremendous challenge, but when you're trying to create a home for the art while the same time you are doing the show, it just really pushes everybody to the edge," he said.
"But our artists and technicians have responded brilliantly and we're really thrilled with what we've got here and we hope folks will come on down and check us out, I think they'll have a wonderful time."
Forever Plaid starts officially on Sunday and continues throughout the end of September. Wayside hopes to keep the Front Royal space as an additional theater, after their Middletown location's renovations are complete.
