The Front Royal Police Dept. is warning residents about another lottery scam.

The scam comes in the form of a letter sent by the "North American Sweepstake Lottery Award Claim Department."

A check is enclosed addressed to the recipient stating that he or she is entitled to a large sum of money from the "Niagra Casino New York." The check supposedly covers taxes on the winnings and shouldn't be used until the recipient gives bank account information to a claim agent.

This is a scam! Police say do not cash any checks from "Data-matique" in Garland, Texas.
