David Shuey has biked almost 3,400 miles in the past sixty days.
He's biking cross country to raise money and awareness for arthritis. Shuey says he suffers from asteoarthritis, which his mother died from last year.
He hopes that this trip across country will inspire others suffering from the debilitating condition to begin moving more.
"Water aerobics and Ti-Chi and those types of things are really good for your joints when you have a bone disease," Shuey said. "So, I'm trying to make a point that riding a bike across America is the ultimate "Let's move together kind of thing."
Shuey's goal was to raise $50,000. He's already raised $5,600.
He's expected to wrap up his trip at the end of this week, on his 60th birthday.
