Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says she will resign from office July 26.

Her spokesman wouldn't say why Palin decided to step down, but the announcement stirred speculation that she would focus on a bid for the 2012 Republican nomination for president.

Spokesman Dave Murrow says Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell will be inaugurated at the governor's picnic in Fairbanks at the end of the
month.

Chuck-Im a Blue Dog Democrat, trust me Palin didnt scare anyone. She's a joke, but however I believe she will be the next RNC chairperson as Mike Steele is on his way out the door.

I think she should have served out the term that she was elected to serve then if she chose to not rerun that would have been fine. I think she had the Libs running scared, but this will not help her cause. We need more conservatives like her on Capitol Hill. Join a TEA Party tomorrow! We have to get this country back on track!!
