Friends and family of Kayleigh Plamondon spent their day remembering the 22-year old woman and raising money for her memorial.

Kayleigh Plamondon's body was found in Hardy County, West Virginia after a four day search for her.

Plamondon's mother, Debbie Plamondon, says her daughter would have loved the barbecue that was held today in her honor.

She says she's been amazed at the outpouring of support from not only her family and friends, but the community as a whole.

"I've received many phone calls," Debbie Plamondon said. "The people I work for, all of Kayleigh's friends, and co-workers, it's just amazing the outpouring of support from absolutely everybody."

Proceeds from food sales at the Lone Oak Tavern in Boyce were given to the Deborah Plamondon Memorial Fund to help pay for Kayleigh's funeral costs.

Kayleigh Plamondon is said to have eaten at the tavern almost weekly.
