A local golf club avoids being put up for auction, at least for now. Jackson's Chase Golf Club in Middletown was scheduled to be sold at an auction Monday morning on the Warren County Courthouse steps.

Jon Rainey, assistant manager of the pro shop at the club says the foreclosure proceedings were stopped. He says the current owners, ASU Investment Holdings have been given a 45 day extension from March 2nd.

Rainey says if certain conditions are not met the auction will go forward. "It is very important for people to know that we are still operating, we are still running the course on a regular basis, we're doing all the things that we would normally do. We're still having tournaments, we're scheduling those. We encourage people to come out and play," says Rainey.

Rainey has been with the club for three years. He says management changed in July of last year.
