Checkpoint Strikeforce is a statewide initiative combining enforcement and education efforts to raise public awareness of drunk driving.

More than 92 state and local law enforcement agencies are participating across the commonwealth.

The emphasis of the campaign is on rural roads where, according to the national highway traffic safety administration, over half of fatal crashes occur.
