Former Front Royal Police officer James Douglas "J.D." Striker will spend a month in jail after pleading guilty In Warren County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. The charges stemmed from an incident at Striker's Remount Road home.

July 15th, deputies were called to the home when Striker allegedly pointed a firearm at his son and the son's girlfriend and then allegedly fried at the couple through a bedroom window.

Two charges one, a felony charge of discharging a firearm within a dwelling and a misdemeanor charge of brandishing a firearm were dropped.

Striker instead pleaded quilty to reckless handling of a firearm.
the 51 year old former officer was sentenced to nine months in jail with 8 months suspended. He was also ordered to pay court costs.

Striker will report to the Warren County Jail September 4th at 8pm.

The other charges were dropped when the alleged victims told the court that they did not want Striket prosecuted.

Striker has forfeited the .25 caliber semiautomatic pistol that was allegedly used in the incident.
