Rose Hill Park in Berryville was the site for the "Dog Days of Summer" Festival on Saturday morning.
Canines both big and small and their owners gathered to celebrate dogs- and all things dog related.
Participants registered for various activities such as relay races and "swim for the hot dog."
Vendors lined the event area with tables, and presenters talked about particular breeds and their special needs.
One of the activities was a pet and owner "look alike" contest, and although it was Angel and her owner's first time in the contest, it certainly was not the first time Brandy was told they looked alike.
"This is my first year here and I wasn't going to get involved, but then somebody said I should. I went right up and I got signed up- and then we end up winning! I get it all the time- with our hair looking the same. It matches," said Brandy Basalyga, with a big smile.
The event organizers said the crowd was not as big as in past years, but those who did attend had a "dog-gone" good time.
