One local store has some very special treasures on sale, but their latest acquisition may take the cake.
There's a $10,000 dollar price tag on a piece of jewelry at 4 Sale In Winchester.
The diamond in the $10,000 dollar ring was owned by the member of a famous first family.
"Anything that was affiliated with Jackie Kennedy, or the Kennedy's in general, has an amazing amount of inherent value," says Carl Johnson, General Manager at 4 Sale In Winchester.
The diamond set in the 18 karat gold and platinum ring, was once owned by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
It is one of eleven diamonds owned by Jackie O., sold years ago at Sotheby's, for a whopping total of $15,000 dollars.
This diamond was the biggest of the bunch, and is priced at $10,000 dollars because of the precious metals it is set in.
"We're not really just selling the diamond. We're selling the diamond in a beautiful ring, with the complete story and all the documentation," says Johnson.
4 Sale In Winchester is the in-store and online consignment shop that is selling the ring.
They've been hired by Bank of Clarke County's Trust Department to sell it for one of their trust customers.
The store advertises their collectibles through online auction sites like Ebay and Craigslist, but they also display items in their showroom.
"We provide the services of liquidating assets for businesses, for dealing with items you no longer want, and for helping people turn old collections into cash," says Johnson.
If you're not in the market for a diamond owned by a Kennedy, you can still swing by and take a look at some timeless treasures.
Famous paintings, NFL scouting films from the 1960's and even a Power Rangers mannequin, are all for sale, so the choice is yours.
The 4 Sale In Winchester showroom is located at 2109 Valley Avenue in Winchester.
