A Stephens City woman recently had a life long dream become a reality.

Crystal Flood spent eighteen years hoping to become a children's author and on March 15, her wish came true.

"I Fell on my Angel" was released nationwide and is available in book stores and on Amazon.com.

The idea for the book came to her one night when she tripped on her son's toys and fell hard to the ground.

She got up and realized she wasn't hurt, smiled and thought.. an angel must have intervened.

Her advice to other aspiring authors?

Just don't quit.

"One day I was thinking about my mom who had never been able to realize her dream of writing a book, and she had passed away recently, and I thought I'm not going to do that. So I went in my house and I found my little box of all my ideas, and I picked 'I Fell on my Angel' to be the first one that I completed," said Flood.

ChristianStoryTellers.com recently named Flood's book their choice for best children's book 2008.
