Saturday Forecast: Temperatures will rise into the mid 90's this afternoon. The heat index will be around the century mark. The entire viewing area has a heat advisory posted until 9PM. Once again strong storms are possible this evening with damaging winds near 60mph, similar to what we experienced yesterday.
Put outdoor furniture away and secure other belongings to avoid some damage. Many are without power today. If you are one of the lucky ones, plan ahead with candles, charged cell phones, water and extra food. Be sure to check on the elderly and bring pets indoors as the storm approaches.
