A Winchester man is charged with assaulting a Winchester Police Officer after an incident early Tuesday morning.
According to the police report, two officers were responding to an assault call just before 1 AM. While taking suspect Harold Jones into custody, Jones reportedly attacked one of the officers.
He faces charges of simple assault, resisting arrest, and assault on a law enforcement officer.
