Virginia Blood Services Opens New Facility

The last time we told you about the local band “Random Holiday," they were four high schoolers about to go on their first tour.
They're still high schoolers, but a lot has changed.
They recently signed with a label, Third Time Lucky Rekords of Harrisburg, Pa., and these guys are on their way to the big time.
“It's gonna be really cool. We're writing 10 songs,” say the five guys. “We're probably not going to record until December. We got plenty of time but we're gonna be writing for a long time. We're gonna be writing August, September, October, November, just writing this record. Making it the best we can make it, and we're really excited.”
For five local high school students, having a record label pay for mass production of a CD and merchandise too isn't a bad gig.
“What the record label told us is they found our music to be really driving, which is like the biggest compliment we could get,” they said. “We want to write passionate sound and that's what we're trying to go with. The fact that they liked it and they think it's worth putting on a big scale is awesome.”
They still say though that putting out a CD and having people hear about them isn't the best part and it's not why they do what they do.
“We wanna play constantly. I'd like to play a show every night as long as I can. Nights like this are the best. The feeling people are really being effected by your music, cause that's why we like music, because it's music we can relate to.”
