Here’s another picture with the building wrap attached and the metal rails starting to be installed.  Notice the flashing around the windows.  It’s so important to make sure there aren’t any potential water problem areas.  Installing the flashing around the windows is amazingly quick – but yet extremely crucial.    You can see underneath where the existing rails have been installed – that area is the foundation of the house.  That part of the wall is cinderblock or masonry so it will require a different type of screw for the metal rail.  Not a big deal – just something that we needed to account for and make sure we had some of those screws on the jobsite.
