I’m excited to see brick going up on the wall. The brick snaps into the metal rail and it’s amazing how quickly this can be done. You can see in the picture how we are going up right off of the deck. With “regular” brick this could not have been done without tearing the porch off and pouring a footer. But because the wall is bearing the weight (just like my original cedar siding), I’m able to keep the porch. We’ll put some sill brick shapes under the windows to give them a finished look. Also – we won’t grout the joints until all the brick are in place.
