Super Blog

Good EVENING FOLKS!!! Among my many new years resolutions is to blog more... so what better time to start than DURING the Super Bowl. (Truthfully blogging more is not really at the top of my resolution list... more like somewhere in the middle between eating more greens and learning to sea walk). Usually during the Super Bowl, I'll root for the underdog... and no doubt the Giants are the underdog, but this year because the Patriots have a local connection in Sherando High School Graduate Kelley Washington I'm hoping New England comes out on top. As a Buffalo Bills fan it will be hard to pull for the Pats, but oh well.
Giants 1st drive - Very impressive New York. Kept the ball on the ground, kept the clock running, and kept Tom Brady off the field. Problem is Field Goals won't beat New England.
Patriots 1st drive - First play NOT impressive fake reverse that no one bought. Tom's ankle could be bothering him... not in running but in throwing as Troy Aikman so astutely pointed out. Obvious pass interference leads to New England Touchdown to start 2nd quarter.   Lawrence Maroney makes it 7-3 from a yard out.

2nd quarter - After Maroney scores it's a whole bunch of nothing... I have to say I'm impressed with the defensive play.  I figured it wouldn't be a total shoot out but the D's look great.  G-Men really getting to Brady, not so surprised on that as they are one of the best in the league at putting pressure on the quarterback.
