Over the next 48 hours, the Northern Valley will undergo a massive warm up as winter takes a brief hiatus.

17 years ago on January 7th, a massive snowstorm dumped FEET of snow on the Northern Valley in what would become the historic Blizzard of 1996. Meteorologist Drew Tuma takes a look back on how we were able to get a storm of such intensity.
