Here are the forecasts for this weekend's race activities:
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series - Atlanta on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET on SPEED. It will be warm and humid in Atlanta this weekend with the remnants of Isaac nearby, however, the heaviest precipitation should stay away from the Atlanta area. But there could be some showers and storms on Friday, especially in the afternoon. Look for clouds with some sun peeking through, and an afternoon high near 86 degrees. There is a 40% chance of storms between Noon and 8 p.m. The temperature at race time will be around 81 degrees.
NASCAR Nationwide Series - Atlanta on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN 2. Saturday will be another hot and humid day. Look for a partly cloudy sky with the afternoon high approaching 90 degrees. There is a 30% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. The temperature at race time will be around 88 degrees.
NASCAR Sprint Cup - Atlanta on Sunday at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN. There may be a few showers and storms around for qualifying on Friday, otherwise expect some clouds and humid conditions with a temperature around 86 degrees. On race day Sunday, it will be partly cloudy and humid again. The afternoon high will be around 91 degrees. There is a 40% chance of scattered showers and storms. The temperature at the start of the race will be near 87 degrees.
IZOD IndyCar Series - Baltimore on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network. It's gonna be a hot start to the weekend in Baltimore as high pressure influences the region. On Friday, look for a mostly sunny sky with an afternoon temperature near 94 degrees. On Saturday, it will be continued warm and humid with some clouds building in during the afternoon. The afternoon temperature will approach 90 degrees. On Sunday, the remnants of Isaac will be looming to the west. At this point it seems they may stay to the west, but there is a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Clouds will be increasing, so the afternoon temperature won't be quite as hot. Expect a race time temperature around 84 degrees. This forecast should be continued to be monitored as Isaac's moisture is still far away.
American Le Mans Series - Baltimore on Saturday at 4:15 p.m. ET on ESPN 3. (On ABC Sunday at Noon ET.) Looks like a great, but hot, day to go racing in Baltimore. By Saturday afternoon, it will be partly cloudy with a race time temperature around 90 degrees. I'll be there all weekend - looking forward to it!
