Here are the forecasts for this weekend's race activities:
NASCAR Nationwide Series - Charlotte on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET on ABC. High pressure will build across the east, making for a hot weekend. Look for plenty of sunshine on Saturday with a temperature around 90 degrees at the start of the race.
NASCAR Sprint Cup - Charlotte on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. ET on FOX. Look for a partly cloudy sky for qualifying Thursday evening. There's a slight chance of a stray thundershower. The temperature will be around 82 degrees. High pressure will take over for the rest of the weekend bringing summerlike weather. For the race on Sunday, look for plenty of sunshine and a temperature near 91 degrees at the green flag.
IZOD IndyCar Series - Indianapolis on Sunday at Noon ET on ABC. A weak cold front will cross the state on Friday bringing only a 20% chance of storms. Otherwise look for sunshine and a few passing clouds on Carb Day. The temperature will be warm in the afternoon around 86 degrees. High pressure takes over for the rest of the weekend providing sunny and hot conditions. With a south wind, the temperature will approach 92 degrees on Saturday afternoon. It'll be sunny and hot again for the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing" on Sunday! At the green flag, it will be around 88 degrees. Look for the high to reach 93. Seek shade, drink plenty of water, and don't forget your hat and sunscreen!
