Here are the forecasts for this weekend's NASCAR and IndyCar activities:
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series - Charlotte on Friday (5/20) at 8 p.m. ET on SPEED. High pressure will build in on Friday, bringing very pleasant conditions to the area. Under mostly sunny skies, temperatures will climb into the lower 80s during the afternoon. By race time it will be mainly clear with a temperature around 74 degrees.
NASCAR Nationwide Series - Iowa on Sunday (5/22) at 2 p.m. ET on ABC. A couple of disturbances will cross Iowa through the weekend, and that means there's a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms on race day. Otherwise, expect partly to mostly cloudy conditions to persist. The temperature at race time will be comfortable around 79 degrees.
NASCAR Sprint Cup - Charlotte on Saturday (5/21) at 7:30 p.m. ET on SPEED. Conditions look great for the weekend in Charlotte thanks to high pressure! Look for mostly sunny conditions on Friday and Saturday! Temperatures Friday will climb in the lower 80s for practice. On Saturday, it will be a tad bit warmer with temps topping out around 87 degrees. At the start of the Showdown, the temperature will be around 80 degrees. By the start of the All-Star race, it will probably drop off into the mid 70s.
IZOD IndyCar Series - Pole Day and Bump Day on Saturday and Sunday in Indianapolis. Low pressure will move back towards the region, bringing some chances of showers and thunderstorms. At this point, I don't think either day will be a total washout, but certainly keep an eye to the sky. Otherwise expect partly to mostly cloudy conditions and temperatures comfortable in the upper 70s.
