Here are the forecasts for all of this weekend's race events:
NASCAR Nationwide Series - Fort Worth, TX on Saturday (4/17) at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN2. A cold front will move across Texas on Saturday, but temperatures will remain warm. A few showers and thunderstorms are possible along the boundary, otherwise look for mostly cloudy skies. The temperature at race time will be around 75 degrees with a light northeasterly breeze. UPDATE: Showers likely through the day Saturday. Skies will remain cloudy, and now it looks like the temperature will be around 70. Continue to monitor the radar for the Nationwide race.
NASCAR Sprint Cup - Fort Worth, TX on Sunday (4/18) at 3 p.m. ET on FOX. A weak piece of energy will be over Texas on Friday, providing mostly cloudy skies and a chance of a shower or thunderstorm for qualifying. It will be warm with a temperature around 77 degrees. On Sunday, look for a mix of clouds and sun with a slight risk of a shower or thunderstorm. The green flag temperature will be near 73 degrees. UPDATE: A slow moving low pressure system will contine to affect the region on Sunday, with scattered showers likely. Due to cloudy skies, don't anticipate the temperature to rise much... it will struggle to reach 60 degrees.
IZOD IndyCar Series - Long Beach, CA on Sunday (4/18) at 3:30 p.m. ET on VERSUS. It will be beautiful for qualifying on Saturday under mostly sunny skies. The temperature will be very pleasant in the lower 70's. Sunday looks nice as well with just a few passing clouds. It will be a tad cooler with a race time temperature near 67 degrees.
American Le Mans Series - Long Beach, CA on Saturday (4/17) at 8 p.m. ET on SPEED. Conditions look good for qualifying on Friday evening under a mix of sun and clouds with a temperature in the upper 60's. Saturday looks fantastic with plenty of sunshine. The green flag temperature will be around 72 degrees.
