This past weekend one of my friends celebrated her birthday.  So why not go to Philadelphia AND New York City!  It's been a while since I was in either city, and it was fun to see the sites again.  In Philly, we walked all the way to Penn's Landing, ate at an old fashioned ice cream fountain, and had dinner at the Melting Pot.  If you've never been there, it's all fondue and you cook everything in pots on your table.  VERY tasty!!  In New York, we went to the Central Park Zoo and saw a snow leopard (so cool!), went in FAO Schwarz and had a picture taken with Batman (although he was made of Legos), and we ended the evening by seeing Rock of Ages on Broadway.  It was a really fun show featuring 80's rock n' roll!  See pictures below.

WELCOME BACK IZOD IndyCar Series!  The season kicks off in Brazil this year!  Here is the forecast:

IZOD IndyCar Series - Sao Paulo, Brazil on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. ET on Versus.  Qualifying is Saturday afternoon, and conditions will be sunny and hot!  There is a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm with a temperature topping out around 88 degrees.  On race day, look for sunshine mixed with clouds and a chance of a few scattered storms.  It won't be quite as hot as qualifying day with a green flag temperature around 83 degrees with a light breeze.

****SATURDAY UPDATE:  due to some safety issues on the track, qualifying is postponed until Sunday morning.  Look for sunshine along with a few clouds and a temperature around 79 degrees.  For the race in the afternoon, I think there's a 40% chance that a thunderstorm could pop up.  The temperature will still top out in the lower 80's.

NASCAR is off this week, but be sure to listen to Sirius Speedway (Channel 128 on Sirius Satellite Radio) next Thursday around 3:30 p.m. ET to hear me give the NASCAR forecast!  And you can follow me on Twitter!!    http://twitter.com/WeatherGalCass

Cassie, With your knowledge of Indy Cars, and input from the drivers, how about doing a couple of Blogs on the suspension systems and engines in Indy Cars for us NASCAR fans that don't understand this hi-tech stuff?. Then go to Charlotte and drive a stock car, so you can tell us fans in another Blog, what it feels like to drive a rocket ship. HAVE FUN!!!
