It's here: the end of the NASCAR season. I've had a great time doing the forecast again this year! (Along with all the other racing series.) Thank you to everyone who listens to me on Sirius and reads my blog! I probably won't be doing a weekly blog for a while, but be sure to check back for new Weather Classroom segments and a few updates through the Holidays. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I'll be back here (and hopefully on Sirius) with the forecast in February!
Here are the final NASCAR forecasts:
Camping World Truck Series - Homestead, FL on Friday (11/20) at 7:30 p.m. ET on SPEED. The weather will be nice in Florida on Friday. Skies will be partly cloudy. At the start of the race, the temperature will be a balmy 76 degrees.
Nationwide Series - Homestead, FL on Saturday (11/21) at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN2. On Saturday, a disturbance will move toward Florida, but typical Florida weather is expected. Look for a mix of sun and clouds with a slight chance of a shower. The temperature at race time will be around 83 degrees.
Sprint Cup - Homestead, FL on Sunday (11/22) at 2:30 p.m. ET on TV3 (ABC). Friday afternoon will be warm and partly sunny for qualifying. The temperature will be near 84 degrees. For the race on Sunday it will be partly cloudy with a slight chance of a thundershower. It will be warm again with green flag temperature near 84.
Catch me one more time on Sirius Speedway, channel 128, at 3:30 p.m. ET! Follow me on Twitter! http://twitter.com/WeatherGalCass
