Mid-Ohio ALMS Video & Your Racing Forecast
Last weekend I went to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the American Le Mans Series race and the IndyCar race.  I had an excellent time!  The weather was sunny and hot except on Sunday when we got caught in a storm, and then another downpour.  Fortunately it cleared up in time for the race!  For the sights and sounds of Mid-Ohio, watch my videos!

Here are the forecasts for this weekend's races:

IndyCar Series - Edmonton, Saturday (7/26) at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN.  Qualifying is Friday afternoon.  High pressure will keep things nice in Edmonton this weekend for the inaugural event!  Friday will be sunny with a temperature near 80 degrees.  Saturday will be sunny with a few clouds moving in later in the day.  The temperature will be near 81 for the race.

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series - Indianapolis Raceway Park, Friday (7/25) at 7:30 p.m. ET on SPEED.  High pressure will shift east over the weekend, allowing warmer and more humid air to flow back into the region.  Skies will be partly cloudy on Friday.  There is a chance for showers and thunderstorms to develop in the afternoon.  The temperature will be near 84 degrees.

NASCAR Nationwide Series - Indianapolis Raceway Park, Saturday (7/26) at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.  Saturday will be similar to Friday... warm and humid under partly cloudy skies.  Again, there is a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms.  The temperature will be near 86 degrees.

NASCAR Sprint Cup - Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Sunday (7/27) at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN.  Qualifying is Saturday at 10 a.m.  The forecast is difficult at the moment due to model inconsistency, but it looks like a cold front may sweep through the region late Saturday/early Sunday.  If that is the case, it will turn skies mostly sunny for the race.  Conditions will be less humid with a race time temperature near 85 degrees.  I'll try to keep this updated into the weekend.

Winchester Speedway - Saturday night, gates open at 4:30 p.m., racing begins at 7 p.m.  High pressure shifting to the east will allow for warm and more humid air to filter back into the region.  Saturday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening.  The temperature will be near 86 degrees.

Don't forget to listen to me on Sirius Satellite Radio - Sirius Speedway on Channel 128 every Thursday at 3:30 p.m.!

Great work on covering the indy racing, even better covering the ALMS cars. (My favorite) If only in years past we would have the advantage of a great racing forecast. Keep up the good work and also love to hear you on Sirius radio. Good luck to the local Windchester ALMS team.( saw them on TV at mid Ohio)

Cassie, you did a great job giving us a real "behind the scenes" look, and it was especially nice for you to give some attention to Winchester's ALMS team!

Posted by: Theresa I love your video blog!! I think I may have heard my voice in the background at one point. That's funny! Who was the AWESOME person holding the camera for you during the intro to this blog? I heard that person is really cool. Can you introduce me to that person?! LOL!!!!
