Race Forecasts 9/2
Here are the forecasts for this weekend's races:
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series - Sparta, KY on Friday (9/3) at 7:30 p.m. ET on SPEED. A cold front will pass through the region late Thursday into the first part of Friday. Some showers and thunderstorms are possible along the front, but it looks like things will clear out through the afternoon. The afternoon high temperature will be in the lower 80s. At race time look for partly cloudy skies with breezy conditions. The temperature will be a comfortable 76 degrees.
NASCAR Nationwide Series - Atlanta, GA on Saturday (9/4) at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2. High pressure will build into the area on Saturday bringing plenty of sunshine. The afternoon temperature will climb into the mid 80s with a nice northerly breeze. By race time, expect a temperature around 82 degrees.
NASCAR Sprint Cup - Atlanta, GA on Sunday (9/5) at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. It will be beautiful weather for all the race activities this weekend thanks to high pressure. Qualifying on Saturday will be great under sunny skies and a warm temperature around 85 degrees. On Sunday, expect more sunshine. The afternoon high temperature will be in the mid 80s. At the green flag, the temperature will be a pleasant 80 degrees.
IZOD IndyCar Series - Sparta, KY on Saturday (9/4) at 8 p.m. ET on VERSUS. It looks like a great weekend in Kentucky thanks to high pressure. However, early Friday there is a chance of some showers and thunderstorms before qualifying as a cold front moves through the area. It should clear out through the afternoon, and the temperature will be in the lower 80s. On race day Saturday, expect mostly sunny skies. The temperature will be a little cooler with the afternoon high in the mid 70s with breezy conditions. At the start of the race, the temperature will be around 68 degrees.
